OVERVIEW

BiSeal 0630 may be a pre-applied process during which wax based materials are coated onto fasteners making them self-sealing. As parts are installed, the wax migrates along the threads, filling any holes between the fastener and joined parts. Highly effective on self-tapping screws to be used with thin metal where typical sealants wouldn’t have enough thread engagement or material thickness to properly seal.

HOW IT WORKS

Parts sent to ND Industries for BiSeal 0630 pre-application undergo a process during which wax based materials are coated onto fasteners below the top and to the tip, fully coating all lead threads. They arrive to the customer dry to the touch and prepared to be used . During installation of the fastener, the fabric collects within the thread path and under the top of the fastener to shut off any openings which will allow the passage of fluids or contaminants. BiSeal 0630 processed parts are non-reactive, require no cure time, and can seal immediately on assembly.
